Hey Atlanta Triathletes!
Please consider joining us on Sunday, July 26th from 8am-10:30am at Lake Lanier for an Open Water Swim Clinic to benefit MY FIRST BIKE, a nonprofit formed specifically to purchase adaptive bikes for kids with special needs.

Info on MY FIRST BIKE can be found HERE.
About the clinic: We will review and practice race starts, entries, and exits, sighting/ navigation, buoy turns, wetsuits, tactics, and swimming in a pack. Clinic is open to all levels of swimmers including beginners and will include a 500m open water swim.
To top it off . . . we will feed you afterwards! Breakfast is included– does it get any better than that?
Your $40 will get you some great swim practice/instruction, grub, and best of all, it will get us a little closer to purchasing an adaptive bike for a kid who will LOVE it as much as WE love riding our bikes!
Please register for this clinic HERE.
Please forward this message to any other listservs/groups of athletes who might like to join us. And if you’re a blogger in the ATL, please help us spread the word!
THANK YOU and we hope to see you there!

I would TOTALLY come if I lived in the area. Both of my parent’s have worked with the developmentally disabled for 30+ years so that’s something I think is great. Of course, if I was there I’d only come for the breakfast. Mmmm… now I want pancakes. Way to go, Kloner.
Excellent idea. You always come up with inventive ways to help out kids. Wish I could attend.
That 3 wheeler is too cute. Make sure to send more pictures.
Thanks guys.
Jim: MY FIRST BIKE was started by my coach, Matt Russ. He apparently didn’t have enough on his plate (!), but was inspired and decided to get the ball rolling. He is really good at this stuff, so it’s perfect. I’m just happy to help out. Like several other tri-geeks on this team, we loved his idea and of course loved anything bike-related, so it’s a great fit. We’re excited and look forward to more “fun-raisers” and ways to get these bikes into the hands of the kids who will love ‘em.
If you have any other ideas, we’d love to hear them. Check out the website for MY FIRST BIKE. We’re just getting started but definitely could use more good people/ideas. THANKS for the encouragement.
